As a 22 year old I was 15 and a half stone and severely overweight.
With simple changes to my diet and an exercise programme, I lost 5 stone and have maintained the same weight
for 30 years.
I am a postgraduate, and worked for 3 years as a lecturer in Henley College Sports and Leisure department.
I have run 17 marathons, the fastest at 40 years of age with a time of 2 hours 41 minutes in London. Last ran the
Stratford Marathon when I was 51 in 2 hours 59 minutes, winning the first man over 50 prize.

I am a level 1 coach, and train a group of around 20 runners every Thursday at the Edmondscote Track, Leamington
spa. I also lead other groups every Tuesday and Sunday for training runs.

you can Run!
Over the past 10 years I have coached unofficially many runners, mostly
for marathons. However I have obtained greater satisfaction from encouraging non-runners to exercise and
achieve their weight loss and fitness goals.
I believe exercise is essential for a healthy and happy life and would encourage anyone to find the activity they
enjoy the most. With a regular routine established all the benefits of weight loss & good health will
occur naturally.
